Attorney Dennis Slate, Robert I. Kuehm and Attorney Lauren Durso are board-certified lawyers in Texas family law, earning the recognition from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. To become a specialist and earn board certification, an attorney must prove their extensive legal knowledge to the Board. Hours of study and legal education are required, as is a good standing with local legal bar associations. Lastly, board certification is only granted after the applicant attorney passes an intense examination. Only a slim percentage of lawyers in Texas hold board-certification status in any field of law.
We currently have two other attorneys within our law firm: Ben Raia and Shirley Mitchell, who have 30 years of combined legal experience and expertise. They each bring unique insights and backgrounds to our firm, allowing us to take an eclectic, advantageous approach to casework. Together, we support one another in order to best support and guide our clients.
Refining our law firm’s abilities even further is Founding Attorney Slate’s background with the United States Armed Forces. Part of his 25-year service includes acting as a U.S. Army Major in Reserves. He is able to bring the sense of duty and sheer discipline he learned in the Armed Forces to our law firm, acting as a clear and confident leader for us all. The dedication he has to excellence becomes a key advantage for our clients, whether we resolve their cases through mediation or litigation.
