Dennis M. Slate

Dennis M. Slate serves most of Greater Houston with offices in Deer Park, Houston, and a Brazoria County office in Pearland. Slate is a board-certified family law attorney with over 20 years’ experience, and thousands of cases under his belt. Slate is well respected in the court system and is a powerful advocate to have by your side.

Slate began building his practice soon after completing law school and has devoted his legal career to handling complex Family Law matters. Our firm has a reputation of thoroughly preparing all of its cases for trial, so that we are ready to represent our client’s interests if negotiations fail.

Attorney Slate is a Double-Board Certified in Family Law and Child Welfare Law By The Texas Board of Legal Specialization, which means that he is classified as a specialist in this field of law.

This is a certification through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization that is offered to select few attorneys. There are only about 825 Board-Certified family law attorneys out of the 100,000 attorneys in the state of Texas. Becoming board-certified is a voluntary process that sets these lawyers apart from others.

He has received several other awards, including selection as a "Top Lawyer" by peers in Houstonia Magazine's Top Lawyers peer-nomination campaign. In addition, he received the award of Top Lawyer from "H Texas Magazine." This publication seeks to spot out the top lawyers and other professionals and has been doing so since 1997.
